Connect to the Forest Gallery & Nature Tour

The morning will begin with a gallery tour by artist Clare Hewitt of her exhibition ‘Everything in the forest is the forest’. Responding to a government report suggesting that loneliness and isolation were increasing in rural areas of the UK, acclaimed photographer Clare’s exhibition celebrates trees and their remarkable ability to nurture and communicate.

Addressing Health Inequalities in UK Maternity Care in Superdiverse Settings

A community research project led by the Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) at the University of Birmingham and the Community Interest Research Centre (CIRC-CIC) explores maternity care in diverse healthcare settings, highlighting how women in the city of Birmingham, UK, often face barriers during pregnancy and childbirth, including language challenges, unfamiliarity with the healthcare system, and social isolation.
