This roundtable brings together representatives from public health, academia, music, culture and community organisations to explore the role of heavy metal in supporting health and wellbeing.
Through presentations, lived experience and discussion, participants will consider Birmingham's role as the birthplace of heavy metal, review the emerging evidence linking music and mental health, and explore how a lasting Heavy Metal and Mental Health movement can be developed.
The event will conclude with a shared commitment to future collaboration and action.
