The Man Behind the Curtain is a photographic exploration of male mental health — the emotions and struggles that men are so often conditioned to conceal from the world around them. The project was born from one of the darkest periods of Ionut's own life: as a survivor of domestic violence, he lost everything and spent two years without a home. It was photography that saved him — and through the lens, he discovered that his experience was far from unique. This work is his testament to the many men living silently behind their own curtains.
