Pinhole Camera Workshop with Niki Gandy

Wednesday 24 June. 4:30pm-6:30pm The Exchange

Join Niki Gandy, Ikon Artist in Residence at HMP Birmingham (2025-26), who will reflect on her recent collaboration with prisoners, exploring exposure to light and its impact on vitamin D and circadian rhythms.

After the talk, Niki will lead an outdoor workshop where you can create your own image using a pinhole camera – a tiny, lens-free camera that captures images with natural light.

Waiting for the Fold is currently on display at the Library of Birmingham as part of What Are the Odds? Ikon Creative Health which explores the role of art in supporting health and care systems.
