Introducing the National Arts in Hospitals Network: spotlight on arts programmes in Birmingham and Sandwell Hospitals.
Join us for an introduction to the National Arts in Hospitals Network, a UK-wide membership organisation championing high-quality arts programmes that enhance the wellbeing of patients, staff and communities.
This session will showcase work from across the region, including arts initiatives at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, alongside recent projects by Hospital Rooms.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet artists in a tour of The People’s Gallery and The Commons, a unique hospital community garden, at the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. You can also experience a powerful Forum Theatre performance from the University of Birmingham, exploring health inequalities in maternity care.
