23 June 1:00pm - 2:00pm B:Eats Cafe at Symphony Hall, Centenary Square. Birmingham, West Midlands, B1 2EA
B:Music invite you to join them free live music at lunchtime in their B:Eats Cafe at Symphony Hall. As part of their popular Live @ B:Eats series, this performance by renowned singer Joanna Eden will mark part of a special Healing Arts Festival takeover.
Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club regular Joanna Eden has 6 albums to her credit and is considered one of the finest jazz singer-pianist / songwriters in the UK. Her beautifully crafted compositions give life to personal and expressive lyrics, which - like her songwriting hero Joni Mitchell - question and reflect life’s changes.
Joanna's teaching and outreach work form a huge part of her output. She taught Sam Smith for 9 years and this has led to her founding her own youth music project, The Garden. Joanna’s work has also focussed on creative health projects including delivering songwriting programmes for people living with dementia. She has worked on these activities with Opera North, Saffron Hall and Anglia Ruskin University.
