Try out our dance and social class for older adults who want to start dancing and moving for improved health and wellbeing.

What will you learn on this course?

This class uses contemporary dance and improvised movement techniques to enhance physical wellbeing. You will have a unique opportunity to learn elements of African Holistic Dance by qualified practitioner Sandra Golding.

This class uses the practice of somatic movement to contribute to improvements in your general fitness and wellbeing, including:
• Greater mind/body connection
• General mobility
• Core strength
• Posture and alignment
• Confidence
• Wellbeing

The class is structured with an improvised warm up followed by technique exercises. There will be the opportunity to improvise your own movement finding positions and shapes that suit your body and ability. There will also be the chance to work creatively with other members of the group.
